Bali Barrel Lounge Set

The Bali Barrel Lounge Set takes its character from the rounded, open-frame construction of the chairs. Continuous arms and backs are formed from repeated cane ribs that loop over the top and reach down towards the floor. These lines give each chair a sculptural shape while keeping the arrangement visually light.

Handmade by artisans in Bali and imported to South Africa by Artessy, the set places natural bamboo and visible craftsmanship at the centre of the design. The material brings warmth and texture, while the repeated curves create a relaxed tropical character. It is the rhythm of the frame that makes the chairs distinctive.

The set includes two barrel lounge chairs, one matching table and white seat cushions. The table continues the woven, natural character of the seating, giving the pair a shared centre for conversation. The white seats offer a quiet contrast to the bamboo, keeping the form and texture of the chairs in view.

Consider the set for a sunroom, a sheltered patio, a bedroom sitting corner or a boutique guesthouse lounge. A simple surrounding palette could let the bamboo lines carry the atmosphere without additional tropical decoration. It evokes a small piece of island living: calm, warmth and hand craftsmanship made part of an everyday place to sit.
