Lime Mandala Chest of Drawers

The lime-green top, frame and claw feet establish the piece's unmistakable outline. Within that border, four broad drawers carry red, turquoise, coral and deep pink colour. Only Mpofu brings together small paisley forms, a central mandala, scalloped fans and delicate white marks, making each drawer distinct while keeping the whole front connected by its curved shape.

Eight ornate dark bronze-toned handles sit in pairs across the drawers, with four small central keyholes remaining visible. On the painted side, a large flower-like mandala opens into pointed petals around a scalloped centre. Smaller corner motifs complete the panel. This side view gives the chest a different scale of pattern from the many smaller details on its front.

For a bedroom or living-room concept, consider pale walls and simple furnishings so the lime frame and painted drawers can lead. A restrained blue or green accent might connect the surrounding space to the chest without repeating every colour. Its four drawers offer practical storage, while the side mandala makes an angled view especially rewarding within the room's arrangement.
