Savannah Sunset Table

At the centre of the tabletop, warm sunset tones, trees and wildlife silhouettes create a view of the African savanna. African-inspired motifs and geometric detailing frame the scene, giving the painting both a landscape and a patterned border. The composition brings nature and artistic rhythm together at the place where people gather.

Only Mpofu painted the top by hand and signed the piece with his artistic signature, ONLY. The table is therefore more than a surface carrying a printed design: its individual painted detail is part of the finished furniture. The savanna scene invites a slower look at the imagery between the ordinary moments of a meal or conversation.

The base has its own story of selection and work. Artessy searched the forest for a natural tree stump that would suit the special top, then worked and refined it over three months. Dozens of hours of handwork went into the finished table, bringing the wilder form of the stump into balance with the artwork above.

Consider it as a feature table in a home, lodge or boutique restaurant, with simple seating that leaves the base visible. The design is about warmth, shared experience and a sense of Africa's landscape. An uncluttered setting could give both the hand-painted scene and the natural leg room to carry that atmosphere.
