Heartwood Pendant

Heartwood Pendant begins with the character already held in a piece of timber. Its thick upper slice retains a textured bark edge, while a heart-shaped opening reveals the wood within. The warm brown grain, growth rings and natural cracks give the pendant an individual presence that remains visible even when the light is off.

A solid wooden heart hangs beneath the opening on fine supports, echoing the shape above. Below it, a speckled lamp holder carries a single clear globe bulb. The relationship between the open space and suspended heart makes this more than a light fitting: the timber becomes a small sculptural composition, with each element clearly expressed.

When illuminated, the globe brings a warm glow beneath the heart. LED lighting above the upper cutout adds a gentle wash of light, drawing attention to the opening and the rough bark around it. Together, the two sources reveal the texture and depth of the wood without taking attention away from its natural form.

Consider Heartwood Pendant for a dining room, a calm reading corner or a distinctive hospitality interior with generous ceiling height. Give the complete pendant space to be seen and position it high enough for comfortable movement below. Its appeal is in that balance of warmth, material and an immediately recognisable shape.
